Kishan Yoga Instructor

My journey began in 2013 to pursue mental and physical balance. I received my credentials as a 200 hr RYT from Yoga to the People in 2016. My classes are form and flow oriented leading students to build a better awareness of their body and encouraging a safe, playful and transformative practice. I am a firm believer in form following function, and if you function properly things will form themselves.

I remember as a child each morning, before getting ready for school, my great cousin would wake me up to stretch alongside my bed. Reach up, reach down, pull forward, pull back, twist from side to side. That simple impression led me to my love and practice of yoga.We need compassion in our individual minds, bodies and daily interactions with others. With a variety of helpful poses and mental awareness techniques that are useful on and off the mat, I believe this is possible. I am very excited to share this experience of yoga with you and hope you are able to find some familiarity on this journey with me as well.

In February 2017, I completed my 200hr  certification from Bodhi Yoga Academy in Jackson, NJ while I was 6 months pregnant. In my classes, you can expect to be challenged and build strength. I believe that if it does not challenge you, it does not change you and fear isn't a good enough excuse. What I love about yoga is that we will never perfect it. It's truly a practice where we become stronger and grow both on and off our mats. How much progress we see is determined by our dedication.

Let's practice and grow together! I look forward to seeing you on the mat!

My practice began towards the beginning of college as we were introduced to somatic practices, looking to strengthen my dancing and find a deeper mind body soul connection. In my class, you can expect to gain strength, balance, flexibility, and have a better understanding of alignment and anatomy.  I did my 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Mason Gross through Om Factory NYC during the summer of 2017.

I am 200 hr certified in Vinyasa Yoga with a focus on the science of yoga by Yoga Impact. In my classes I show people how to tap into their breath to create a peaceful space while integrating the mind, body and soul. Teaching children yoga is my passion. I hope that after my classes everyone leaves feeling renewed.
